Bounce Street Asia Trampoline Park — a Review

Got energetic kids who never seem to slow down?  Try taking them to a trampoline park!  It’s bound to release all those energy while providing them with tons of fun.  As written on its website, Bounce Street Asia is set out to be one of the most uber-cool and safest Trampoline Park in Jakarta.  Hmmm..I really don’t know if there are other trampoline parks in Jakarta but after a visit to Bounce Street, I totally agree with the website’s claim! ^^

Bounce Street Asia was established by brothers Neeraj and Suraj Khiani.  They may sound like foreigners but they are Indonesians and Bounce Street Asia is an Indonesian brand. There are 11 arenas inside the park:  ball court, aero court, air bag, wall run, wall climbing, gladiator, foam pit, spider tower, and dodge ball.

Once you enter the building, you will be greeted by the cool air from the well-run air-conditioners.  It has a lot of natural light coming in from the ceiling.  You also get a jolt of energy just seeing the huge trampoline area and all those enthusiastic people.

REGISTRATION  AND  PAYMENT

We have to register first before paying in the counter.  There are Ipads available for this and it only takes a few minutes to register.  When we pay, we have to buy a card and the fees are deducted from the card.  That card costs Rp5.000.  Hourly rate is currently at Rp80.000.  We also have to buy Bounce Street socks at Rp20.000 per pair.  We can use those socks again when we come back the next time.  That time, I paid using a credit card and have to top-up my card at multiples of Rp50.000.  When we pay through cash, we can top-up any amount.

We went there on a weekday.  On weekends, the rate is at Rp135.000 per hour but they currently have a promo of buy 2, get 1 free.  There are also trampoline classes available.

THE ARENAS

The Spider Tower is a clear favorite with Big M.  She loves to climb up through the three-layers of obstacle web and then slide down.  Little M could not climb up but a very friendly staff helped him up, several times!  I am really happy with the help provided.

Another favorite is The Wall but Big M and Little M only jumped on the giant trampoline.  They were exhilarated to see a quick trampoline performance that day.  This arena is always packed with people.  Only one person can jump on a trampoline at a time, so the children take turns.  Two staff were supervising this area.  After jumping from the wall, the children are directed to the airbag.

Watch a trampoline performance and be amazed!

Freedom Jump and Double Dodgeball occupy roughly half of the trampoline park but they were mostly empty.  Big M and Little M played there for only a few minutes before deciding to move on.

The Wall Climbing and Foam Pit area is usually full.  You can try to balance on the beam, climb the wall, jump down to the foam pit or simply just play inside the foam pit.  Be careful though.  Somebody jumped down on me when I was inside the pit!

How well can you balance? Little M wanted to go to Big M, who was busy trying out wall climbing.

The Slam Dunk arena was under maintenance when we went there.

We ended up paying for two sessions when we went there.  That’s two hours of jumping and running!  And they still wanted more.  It is quite expensive because there is no all-day rate.  We had a quick lunch upstairs at the Bounce Cafe and Little M fell asleep even before he finished eating.

Two hours, two players, three pairs of sock, lunch of carbonara and onion rings ended up costing around Rp500.000.  Compared to Kidzoona, this is definitely a lot more expensive!

But it is definitely a lot of fun.  We haven’t even left the building yet when Big M already said she wants to come back again.^^

TIPS:

  • Wear comfortable clothes.  You will be moving a lot!
  • Bring lots of water.
  • Eat at least one hour before coming here to prevent an upset stomach.
  • Best to come early when it opens at 9AM.  It is less crowded.  There are also fewer people during lunch time at 12NN.
